AUTOMATED CNC PLASMA CUTTING ON THIN SHEET METAL
EATHC in working, the control system automatically senses the height of the material to be proccessed.
ESTOC WARRIOR cutting 100 mm material with accuracy. Potential well defined.
Plasma cutting is a melting process in which a jet of ionized gas at temperatures above 20,000°C is used to melt and expel material from the cut. This heat melts the metal and the gas flow ejects it from the cut. Plasma gases are usually argon, argon/hydrogen or nitrogen. Here the plasma torch with an electrode is used to produce the ionized gas, where a plasma arc is created upon hitting the workpiece which is to be cut, The whole system can be controlled by an interactive display which is programmed by CNC control systems which includes Automatic Torch Height Control System.
ATHC stands for Automatic Torch Height Control, that is the system logically finds out the workpiece laid on the bed, and starts the cut after every loop, this decreases the human effort and increases the precision in each cut.
The system uses Arc Voltage Feedback from the plasma source to automatically maintain the plate to torch gap.
The control logic of ESCTOC for ATHC is EATHC. ATHC is basically used for finding the right position to start the next loop of working.
The nozzle focuses the plasma arc and the gas that surrounds it to make a clean and precise cut. A nozzle with a larger opening is used for gouging, while a nozzle with a smaller opening is better able to direct the gas and so is used for fine, detailed work.
